Glasgow Cathedral is a medieval cathedral which has an active Christian congregation in the Church of Scotland.

The Chancel

Glasgow Cathedral is the best preserved example of a large church to have survived the Reformation, and has one of the finest post-war collections of stained-glass windows to be found in Britain.

Through this site we aim to give a flavour of Cathedral life, past, present and future.

With a wealth of musical and vocal talent and ability, we are blessed with many fine recitals during the year. There are Summer Music Recitals and a Winter Lecture Series held within the Cathedral every year. Details of these will be given as far in advance as possible.

The Cathedral has a regular and active congregation, and no visitor should leave the city without making a visit. See our opening times, cathedral news, calendar of events, and map, to help you plan your visit, or visit our sister website GlasgowCathedral.org.uk maintained by Simon Stewart.
